Glass Plates from Mount Evelyn, Victoria

These four sets of negative glass plates came from Mount Evelyn in Victoria. Glass negatives are normally stored in the boxes in which they were purchased, but these plates did not have boxes. Two sets are quarter-plate size (4¼ in x 3¼ in), and the other two are (4 in x 5 in). They might be unrelated, shot by the same photographer in two cameras, or even in one 4x5 camera with a reduction insert. The plates date approximately 1900s to 1920s. Judging by the rendering of the sky and aerial perspective the emulsion is not orthochromatic.
